Who we are and where we are going

The Douglas House is a Federal style mansion built in 1819 that was the centerpiece of a 19th century estate on a mile long peninsula on Little Neck Bay now known as Douglas Manor. The Douglaston Club, established in 1918, purchased the mansion in 1921. The Foundation was created to help preserve the architectural and historical significance of the building. Working with the Douglaston Club’s “Strategic Master Plan,” we plan to restore the Douglas House to its original beauty (for additional history, click here).
